Klattermusen ABC Book

A 50-year anniversary book about the history, people, products and culture of Klättermusen.

I just received my copy of the beautiful new book from Klattermusen, of which I’m honored to be featured in. I was in Stockholm recently for the book launch and the brand’s 50th anniversary celebration, an incredible night with a team I truly love.

The Klättermusen ABC 50-year anniversary book is not a history in the traditional sense. It’s a kaleidoscope of stories, images, and voices from half a century of climbing, mountaineering, design experiments, and gear obsession. From the first “pysselkvällar”—craft nights in the 1970s—to the mountains of Sarek, Senja, and Svalbard, it captures the spirit that shaped Klättermusen: curiosity, stubbornness, and a refusal to follow the obvious path.

True to that spirit, the book itself is a piece of gear. Hand-bound with a woven cloth cover and embossed details, it combines different paper qualities for texture and rhythm. A Klättermusen strap serves as the bookmark—made from the same material used in their gear. Inside, you’ll find oral histories, photographs, naked truths, and iconic products. Climbers, designers, gear testers, and friends share their perspectives, sometimes candid, sometimes poetic, always true. Like their gear, the book is designed to last—an artifact of fifty years past, and fifty more to come.

My journey with Klättermusen has been a special one from being part of a film in Senja, Norway to seeing the team and brand become a real fixture in my hometown of Verbier, Switzerland. Grateful for the adventures so far, and excited for the ones still to come!

Thank you to all the good friends made along the way, Matt Pain, Daniel Bernstål, Hanne Dossland, Simon Stenborg, Petter Foshaug, Fride Halvorsen, Ida Holeman, Gonz Ferrero, Erik Soderbergh, Andreas Billman, Caro Eckert, Frederik Darre and of course long time friend Tero Repo!
