Hahnemühle Bamboo is the world's first digital fine art inkjet paper made from bamboo fibres. Bamboo represents naturalness and resource-saving paper production. Particularly suitable for warm-toned colour and monochrome prints. Hahnemühle Bamboo is made from 90% Bamboo fibres and 10% cotton combining photography with environmental friendliness. This natural warm-toned, smooth surfaced and optical brightening agent free genuine art paper offers maximum ageing resistance. It guarantees an extremely large colour gamut and high colour density.

Hahnemühle Bamboo was specifically chosen for its environmental and sustainable properties and is part of Hahnemühle’s flagship green range and is the most sustainable option that I offer. The bamboo paper is made from the fast growing fibres from the bamboo plant and is completely renewable, biodegradable, grows rapidly and is sourced from ethically responsible and sustainable forests. The environmental impact is low because Bamboo demands no fertilizers, herbicides or insecticides. Furthermore bamboo requires very little water for growth therefore it can thrive without having a negative impact on water consumption.

A pure white Baryta base paper with excellent black density, contrast and reproduction of detail. Great for high contrast images, as well as fluorescent and vivid colours. The Baryta base creates whiter whites and deeper blacks whilst the silky smooth reflective coating enhances the detail and definition of the images. We recommend care when handling the print as it is a sensitive paper and we advise that you add a border to the image if you would like to have it mounted.

Recommendation: If hanging near a window or lights you can use the UV protected matte in order to avoid reflections. The matt ever so slightly tones down the colour where as the glossy has a vibrant punch. Therefore some people are happy to print the glossy with the reflection. I personally prefer to avoid the reflections.

Acrylic glass or Plexiglass is lightweight, shatterproof and resistant to temperature variations. The plexiglass photo print considerably increases the quality of your photo choice: the brilliance of the colours is enhanced and the effect of depth accentuated. 4mm is the gallery standard and the most popular choice but if you want a more discrete photo you might choose 2mm and for a deep 3D effect you might prefer 6mm. Combined with the three-ply Aluminium Dibond back panel, acrylic glass gives your photos great stability. The different materials are sealed together by durable elastic silicone: it is flexible and absorbs the shock caused by the various expansion processes of the materials in the event of temperature variation. The Crystalline acrylic glass is 4mm thick and has a durably elastic photo print & silicone 3mm Dibond Aluminum Plate. This is a hard wearing, quality feeling product that has really high impact, especially at larger sizes.

Recommendation: Glossy in darker locations and Matte if near a window or light to avoid reflections. The matt tones down ever so slightly the colour where as the glossy has a vibrant punch. Therefore some people are happy to accept the glossy with the reflection.

Silisec® is a process used for face mounting photographs on acrylic glass.
 Because the print is ”glued” to the acrylic glass, the result is a completely flat mount of the image.
The whole process is dedicated to mounting the print without air bubbles or smears.
 For the reverse, we use 3mm Dibond® or anodised aluminium.
 All Silisec® prints are equipped with an aluminium back-frame that allows the work to be hanged.
 The frame is hidden and it leaves the picture floating from the wall.

The HD Metal or Chromaluxe Metal Print is particularly hard-wearing. The light aluminium is as weather and water resistant your photo on metal can be making it a good choice also for the kitchen, bathroom or garden. The image on fine art archival paper is mirror-inverted on a transfer paper with Fine Art Inkjet inks. Using heat and pressure, the ink is vaporised into the special coating of the 1 mm thin Aluminum. This process is called thermal sublimation and results in exceptional colour brilliance and excellent durability.

The unusual horizontally brushed surface of the brushed Aluminium Dibond achieves an unusual and striking effect: the clear, white image areas shine a metallic shimmer and the printed coloured areas have a more matte effect. I find this finish works especially well on black and white mountain images or images where there are very simple few colours such as the blue of the sky and the white of the snow. This high quality photo print on Aluminium Dibond Butler Finish is also waterproof and suitable for protected outdoor areas.
