Snowflake Mandala
I Love everything about snowflakes. I combined them in a mandala pattern encompassing fractals and sacred geometry to create a simple but meaningful piece of art.
Not one snowflake is the same, which I find amazing considering how many fall on our planet. They have tiny branches of ice that stretch out in different directions. This is how snowflakes contain fractals. Fractals are infinitely complex patterns repeated by repeating a simple process over and over in an ongoing feedback loop.
Sacred geometry is an ancient science that explores and explains the energy patterns that create and unify all things and reveals the precise way that the energy of creation organises itself. It is said that every natural pattern of growth or movement comes back to one or more geometric shapes.
A mandala is a diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a time-microcosm of the universe, but it originally meant to represent wholeness and a model for the organisational structure of life itself, a cosmic diagram that shows the relation to the infinite and the world that extends beyond and within various minds & bodies.
