Grand Combin
Surrounding the 4,314m Grand Combin is a large glaciated massif consisting of several summits, among which three are above 4000 metres (Combin de Grafeneire 4,314m, Combin de Valsorey 4,183m, Combin de la Tsessette 4,134m). In the background left of this image you can see the Mont Blanc in the distance leading into this most impressive glacier. I took this image late morning not long after a fresh snowfall. The endless blue and white seemed to emphasise the immense expanse. It was truly beautiful.
