Edition of 8 · Signed and Numbered
There are few views in the world as striking as this. From Mont Fort in Verbier, the recognisable forms of peaks rise like shark teeth into the sky. The Dent Blanche (4358m), Matterhorn (4478m), Dents d'Hérens (4171m) rising one after another, each peak catching the final light of the day. The sun brushes across their summits in deep gold and soft pink, slowly slipping away into shadow.
There is a calmness to the scene that feels almost unreal. The mountains stand still, perfectly composed, bathed in colours that suggests warmth and peace. Yet in that moment, the reality could not have been further from it. At over 3,300 metres, the temperature sat close to -20°C, with strong winds cutting through every layer, making the tripod shake.
I remained here for nearly 20 hours, waiting through the long stretch from afternoon to night, and after sunrise. Watching this light touch the peaks, knowing how fleeting it was, made everything else fall away. The cold, the fatigue, the effort.
To achieve such a high resolution photograph I had to compose several images. The result is a single, high-resolution composition that captures the scene as it unfolded.
This work is released as a limited edition of 8. Each piece is individually signed and numbered, and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Produced using museum-quality materials.
