Lac des Fenetres
This is one of my favourite hikes in the region of Switzerland that I live in. On this particular day I accessed it from the Grand St Bernard on the Italian border of Switzerland. I knew the wind speed was low so that the lakes were likely to be flat calm with no ripples so I was pretty excited as this is what I wanted for these shots. It was an early and cold and frosty start as I wanted to arrive just after sunrise. Arriving at the top of the hike and seeing the lakes in perfection for the first time was the greatest gift. The white glacier of the Mt Blanc in the backdrop added something very special. It was definitely one of the most beautiful lake hikes I have ever done.
