GUMBALL 3000
With Verbier Summits
The Gumball 3000 is an annual international celebrity motor rally which takes participants on a public road journey across approximately 3,000 miles in different countries, involving high-end supercars and notable personalities. On 13th June the Gumball 3000 arrived in Verbier having driven non-stop from Amsterdam that day following an unforgettable night of partying. This segment is slated to be among the most prolonged drives of this year's rally, with the total journey time ranging between 10 and 11 hours! Pretty hard going after a late night in Amsterdam!
My good friends Mike & Stu of Verbier’s famous paragliding school Verbier Summits were asked to complete the adventurous task of following the supercars descent from Verbier, through each twist and turn on their paragliders with smoke trailing behind them. I was asked to capture this from one of the bends below Verbier and it was pretty exciting to hear the sound of the supercars approach whilst watching Mike and Stu skillfully follow the snaking mountain road. Well done Mike & Stu. You made that look easy! And good luck Gumballers!
