Chamonix Highs B & W
This is one of the most spectacular accessible views on earth. The rugged peaks seen from the Aguille du Midi in Chamonix, France are some of my favourite to shoot. On this particular day I had been watching the weather in Verbier in order to choose a day where an cloud inversion was likely. When I eventually arrived above the cloud layer in Chamonix, the clouds surrounding looked like the ocean. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The clouds whisked away from the peak of the steepest point the Grands Jorasses at 4208m like it was steam from an old train. Beautiful!
